In summation, Baralai is, quite possibly, the most maddeningly polite gentleman you could ever meet. He fits the role with such ease – much like a second skin, in fact – that one cannot help but wonder whether or not it is merely a front masking a deep cerebral complex.
At the age of twenty, Baralai appears wise beyond his years and just equally withdrawn outside of business matters, a trait which could be attributed to his status as praetor of New Yevon. As an orator, however, he is influential, blunt, and most notably patient. Despite his somewhat effeminate appearance, he is not to be mistaken for weak. Far from it, Baralai can reasonably hold his own in both physical battles and verbal teasing (although the latter is limited to the closest of his friends).
He is taciturn, and although far less open (and much more keen on holding grudges) than he was in his younger years, Baralai still displays an odd semblance of humour with those he trusts: namely, Gippal and (on occasion) Paine.
